Flew over Kosovo in a helicopter. You can see all the cities and landscape below. It is winter and very cold. The cities are spread out in every instance, almost no buildings that can be characterized as high-rise. The country is dotted with small hills/mountains. The cities seem to be compact with many houses squeezed in. Most have red tiled roofs. We flew over rivers and waterways, as well as small lakes and reservoirs. Periodically you can see the blades from the helicopter. You can see what appear to be locations where crops are planted in the spring, as well as forests which dot the landscape. The entire country appears to be covered or broken up by small mountains which makes direct land travel time consuming. It is a very rugged country. Videos taken during an aerial trip over Kosovo.
